Taming your monkey mind

Even the best of us sometimes are dogged by recurring thoughts that we cannot seem to shake. The more you try to shake off unwanted thoughts the more fiercely they cling to you.

Experts and gurus alike suggest that it is futile to try to stop thinking about something you don't want to think about. The best strategy is to replace that thought with another thought a good example is to find a mantra that you like and repeat it as often as it takes to get that unwanted thought out of your mind.
Here are a few:

"Ohmmm"

“I love and accept myself completely.” “I release all restrictions. I am free to be me.” Louise Hay

“I am totally independent of the good or bad opinion of others.” “I am beneath no one.” “I fearlessly handle any and all challenges in my life.”  Deepak Chopra
